The front of this note features Mickey circa 1930. The original drawings of Mickey Mouse filed with the United States Patent Office. These images inspired the Mickey circa 1930 portrait on the $1 note. The application was filed October 30, 1929 and issued Serial No. 33,219. The original term for the patent was 14 years. The front of each note replaces the Treasury Seal with Mickey Mouse in Disney's signature font. The seal reads, "1928 Eightieth Anniversary 2008." Below the serial number reads a unique series, "2008 COLLECTOR SERIES." The back of the note features the evolution of Mickey Mouse. Temporarily recalled from retirement, Charles Boyer designed these Disney Dollars inspired by the evolution of Mickey Mouse from 1928 through 2008.
