Introduced by Walt Disney in the early 1930s. The first Mickey Mouse comic strip was published in the New York Mirror. Early editions were written by Walt Disney and drawn by Ub Iwerks who was proceeded by Floyd Gottfredson. These ran in 60 U.S. newspapers in addition to 20 more countries across the world.
