"TOP POP" - 1993 Mickey Proof Disney Dollar - PMG 67

The front of this note features Mickey in a white bow tie and the back features Mickey driving his car in front of his Toontown home. 1993 marks Mickey's 65th Anniversary. This milestone justified the first significant change to the Disney Dollar. A gold ribbon above the portrait on the front highlights “Mickey’s 65th.” Color, a lined pattern, and a wavy lined pattern were added to the underprint of the $1 notes. The back of the $1 notes celebrates the January 24, 1993 opening of Toontown in Disneyland.  This entire series has the upper right legend updated and center aligned to read, "May be used as legal tender only at Disneyland Park, Disneyland Hotel, Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disney Store (USA & Puerto Rico)."
