IBI Mini Checks
Disney IBI mini bank checks were a specific type of Miniassegni, or "mini-checks," which served as emergency currency in Italy during the coin shortage of the late 1970s. The IBI, or Istituto Bancario Italiano, was one of many banks that issued these small-denomination, colorful notes. The specific miniassegni featuring Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse, were created as a particularly popular variant to replace scarce small change. The total set include 8 total charachters and were issued during two seperate release dates.
