Shanghai China Test Notes (Yuan)
Prior to the park officially opening in China, test notes were created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Disney. China Golddeal Disney bank notes were issued by China Golddeal Investment Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation. These notes were created to commemorate Disney's 90th anniversary as well as a test note for the opening of the Shanghai Disneyland. Followed were several versions including the popular Travel in Shanghai series, princess series and several gold notes that were issued over the years.
Shanghai Disneyland
While Shanghai Disneyland did not release actual currency, it did release souvenir banknotes known as "test notes". These are collectible items that feature Disney characters but are not legal tender in China.
