With a surplus of 2009 Disney Dollars still in circulation, there was no real need for additional supply to meet demand. For 2011, a new POTC Disney Dollar was produced to celebrate the release of POTC: On Stranger Tides. The movie was a Box Office success bringing in over $1 Billion.
